Concept

The concept for the project was “Kalidescope of Cultures”, the telling of stories through artwork viewed through another lens.

Inspiration

When one looks through a kalidescope things take on new shapes. We took inspiration from the distinct, elegant shape of traditional arabic teapots — to the geometric evocative colours of ceramics of Jud Bergeron. We took traditional subjects and viewed them through another lens.

Solution

Collaborating closely with a skilled fabrication company, we assumed the role of art directors, guiding and overseeing the creation of a bespoke sculpture tailored to fit seamlessly within the rooms.

As art consultants, Veitenheimer are experts in art history, art trends, creative sourcing, story telling, brand identities, cost management and the practicalities of everything from transporting and installing art to maintaining it through the lifecycle of a project. We don’t give you solutions you can’t afford or can’t look after.

We learn the narrative from the interior design and architectural teams, and by sourcing and curating a programme of art interventions, we add layers to the story, and anchor the space in the relevant area, place or country.
